Alternative Materials Workshop

ITIF co-hosted a series of four expert workshops with Boston University Institute for Sustainable Energy and Fraunhofer USA’s Center for Manufacturing Innovation. This workshop focused on the development of novel engineered materials with increased functionality and lower production energy requirements, specifically considering whether higher material functionality and resulting reduction can offset additional cost at scale.
