Eric Bridgesjoined the staff of the American Council of the Blind (ACB) as Director of Advocacy and Governmental Affairs in 2007. ACB is a leading national organization of people who are blind and visually impaired that is dedicated to improving the quality of life, equality of opportunity and independence of all people who have visual impairments. In this position, Eric oversees all aspects of ACB’s advocacy and legislative initiatives. Previously, Eric spent six years working for National Industries for the Blind where he managed their public policy and legislative initiatives. During his tenure at National Industries for the Blind, Eric was accepted into the Brookings Institution Congressional Fellowship Program. As part of this program, Eric worked as a legislative assistant for Congressman John Kline of Minnesota. As part of his portfolio, he dealt with disability related issues.
