Gina Vetere is Special Counsel in the International Trade and Public Policy & Government Affairs practice groups at Covington & Burling LLP. In this role, Ms. Vetere provides clients public policy and legal counsel and crafts solutions to international trade and intellectual property (IP) challenges affecting their businesses in foreign markets.Ms. Vetere previously led the Global Intellectual Property Center’s (GIPC) international IP programs at the US Chamber of Commerce. Prior to that, she served as Director for IP and Innovation and as Senior Policy Advisor to the Deputy United States Trade Representative (USTR) at USTR. From 1996-2000, Ms. Vetere managed international development programs, including for the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe’s Mission in Bosnia-Herzegovina and the National Democratic Institute for International Affairs. She received her law degree from the University of Virginia School of Law and her undergraduate degree from Dartmouth College.
