Rep. Zack Hudgins has served Washington’s 11th Legislative District—comprised of Renton, Tukwila, Kent, and South Seattle—since December of 2001.As Chair of the House Committee on General Government Appropriations, Rep. Hudgins oversees approximately $3 billion of spending for 68 state agencies. These agencies serve Washington in a wide number of ways and include the Department of Corrections, the Administrative Office of the Courts, and the Department of Ecology. State IT spending is also included in this as well.In addition, he serves on the House Committee on Business and Financial Services, the House Committee on Technology and Economic Development, the Technology Services Board, and the Joint Legislative Systems Committee. He is chair of the Joint Administrative Rules Review Committee.His legislative focus is on creating and keeping jobs in Washington; making our government more effective and efficient; and protecting citizens, especially those from low-income and minority communities.
